Live and In Sync!

Specifically created with young people in mind, Live and in Sync! is a fun-filled romp which takes the audience on a journey through the history of jazz dance. Utilizing a T.V. station format, members of the DJD Professional Training Program trace the development of jazz from its African roots, through the 1920’s, to the popular social dances of today. Join Herman (assisted by the ever-ready “jazz crew”) as he comes to understand the history of jazz and discovers the dancer he always knew he was. With an audience participation element, the program features everything from
classic era jazz to Hip Hop.

Duration: 50 minutes plus question and answer session

Technical Requirements: The show is fully self-contained. Access to the performance space is required one hour pre-show for load in and set up as well as one half hour post-show for strike and load out. We perform on the gymnasium floor and require an area of 35' wide X 30' deep.
